About

Touching Life in Totality

Touch and Transform Life Foundation is a Christian non-profitable organization which is registered in the republic of Kenya under the NGO Coordination Act of 1990. It was born from Hope Evangelistic Team (H.E T) which began in 1999.

Njeri Ibrahim, our pioneer, shared her vision with five other ladies, whom were on fire for God. They began evangelizing in high schools and colleges with the zeal of seeing transformed youths. They would hold rallies and weekend challenges to disciple and mentor the youths for the kingdom of God.

In 2007, the nation of Kenya went through post-election violence and the ladies began visiting the traumatized, evicted families for counselling and spiritual nourishment. That is when they discovered many children were left orphans under the care of the aged grandparents, well-wishers, or the extended families. The burden of taking care of the needy children, in particular orphans, began in 2008, the beginning of TTLF.

Our Vision

TTLF's vision is to bring lasting solutions that cares for children’s physical, emotional, education and spiritual needs. We aim to offer mentorship until they become responsible people in society. We wish to empower them with knowledge and skills for self-reliance and assist their personal development through moral, spiritual and social support. We want to be able to support and contribute towards improving the quality of life for needy children, holistically.

Our Mission

TTLF's mission is to touch the life of the needy, especially children, orphans and mentally handicapped, promoting access to education and improving welfare services for them through evangelism and mentorship. TTLF originally evangelized to students in high schools. The burden to reach out to needy children increased when we started visiting children's homes and orphans who were left under the care of their extended families or well-wishers.

Our Long-Term Goal

Our long term goal is to set up vocational training for empowering young mothers and youths. After going through our empowerment program, we will analyze if they have been empowered with a skill and expertise that is in demand locally. This can help them better their lives and the lives of their children. Self-dependancy will cease and we will have a self-motivated generation that will be able to earn their own money and create a better life for their families.
Our target is to train 200 people per year so that they become part of the country's work force.

Our Challenge

Our underlying challenge is getting resources due to a lack of monetary sources. Some of these families cannot even raise the smallest amount of money to start a small business. I know well-wishers and people of goodwill have lost confidence with the frequency of people who have set up charity organizations with the aim of benefiting themselves rather than using all the resources supplied for the good of the needy children and their families. As much as this is shameful and heart breaking, TTLF have decided to overcome the odds by being responsible, faithful, and trust worthy in fulfilling the mandate of making sure that every resource given will reach and benefit the right person. We invite partners to work with us in supporting these needy children.

Our Values

Accountability

We take personal responsibility for using our resources efficiently, achieving measurable results and being accountable to supporters, partners and most of all children.

Proverbs 22:16 He who oppressed the poor to increase his wealth and he who gives to the rich, both come to poverty

Ambition

We demand the best of ourselves and our colleagues, set high goals, and are firmly committed to improving the quality of everything we do for children.

Guided by the word of God, Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way to go, and when he is old will not turn from it

Creativity

We are open to new ideas, embrace change led by the Word of God, take disciplined risks to develop sustainable solutions for and with the children.

Proverbs 27:17 People learn from one another, just as iron sharpens iron

Integrity

We aspire to live to the highest standards of personal honesty and behavior, we never compromise our reputation and always act in the best interest of the children by the help of the Holy Spirit.

Proverbs 9:10 to be wise you must first have reverence for the LORD. If you know the Holy one, you have understanding
